I love an occasion – a reason to change up the dress code. And that doesn’t just mean a wedding or birthday – a drink with the gang or an evening meal out can give you the opportunity to deviate from the norm.
I’d been after some open-toe boots forever. Myself and a friend were hunting high and low for the perfect pair, and eventually she stumbled across them in the H&M sale. We both made an online order, and for just £15 they became ours. Admittedly they’re a bit stiff and therefore a little uncomfy at first, but they’re a pretty handy autumn accessory. Not too dressy, but add a touch of something to what would usually be a very casual outfit.
This ensemble was just for a trip to the pub for some grub with the girls. My trusty black skinnies (ASOS Rivington for those interested), a cropped baseball tee and a simple denim shirt thrown on in case of a cover up later on the evening. The addition of my new boots was spot on for the kind of occasion it was, and I can’t wait to wear them with a midi skirt soon!
