This may seem like an odd blog post at first, but stick with me. I wanted to blog about where I like to get my wrapping bits from, mostly around Christmas but also during the year for birthdays and other gifts. The obvious choices are places like M&S, supermarkets or specialist card shops in the UK, but over the past few years I’ve taken a real liking to the gift wrapping on offer at Ikea.
Their Swedish style makes for beautiful and simplistic designs with a huge range of options in all gorgeous colours. Above is a selection of the bits I picked up this year – no rhyme nor reason to my wrapping, I just grab what I like so this year I opted for a couple of the pattern pieces in a simple white and gold, a basic red, and then a few festive ribbons. I also love their gift tags – I thought the numbered ones were cute if you have more than one gift for someone. They’re all reasonably priced too and I just think they’re a bit different!
