This post certainly wasn’t planned but it’s something that sprung out of me carrying my camera around and wanting to make the most of it. We visited London on Friday to meet my sister and celebrate her recent engagement (Maid Of Honour right here baby). She booked us dinner at a place called Benugo – this one is inside the British Film Institute on the Southbank although I know there are others dotted around.
I’m definitely no restaurant critic, but I eat most things and I had the most lovely meal. I opted for hake, my sister trout and my mum chicken. We enjoyed sides of crushed new potatoes and a selection of starters ranging from goat’s cheese and grapefruit, to smoked salmon and pesto hummous. I’ll admit, my pudding was too good to wait around taking photos of – but think white chocolate, peanut and salted caramel parfait. Oh yes.
We sipped on Carol Channing’s (raspberry and champagne) to celebrate and generally had a lovely time! Worth a visit if you’re looking for somewhere a bit different to the chains in that area. You can find the website here. Oh – and if you like the look of my brightly coloured dress, I have a full post on that coming soon!
If you’ve landed here, you’re probably looking to find out more about Katherine-Louise. Run by me, Kat - put simply I'm a 30 year old who is decidedly normal. My blog is a destination for women just like me - the same interests and aspirations, working our way through the same twists and turns of life. Katherine-Louise is designed to inspire and inform; to give you a break from the norm as well identify with the beauty of routine. A fifteen minute recoup, or an hours vacation, it’s the go-to for Everyday-Joe’s, just like me, who want a few minutes off the radar.
