I’ve been wanting to share these images for a while but finding the time with so many other things to post is hard! These images are some new work in my portfolio from a shoot earlier this year. Something a little different for me, but a nod towards my where my weekends are usually spent which is making up brides for their big days.
This shoot was for Ruby & Diva which is a shopping and inspiration site for brides. We worked with the gorgeous model and fab team of photographers and stylists to produce some images for the new site. I’ve picked a few of the make up close ups here to share and talk through the products used.
Now, I’ll put my hands up and say – Charlotte has amazing skin. She isn’t actually wearing any foundation in these photos, so I just used a touch of Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick as a concealer under her eyes. To give her that incredible glow, I used a combination of Illamasqua cream products which I actually went into detail on here, so head on over to that post to hear more. For the brows, I used a mixture of Mac Carbon and Brun to lightly define them, with a touch of MUA Clear Mascara to set them in place.
As the day went on, we amped up the lip colour so I started with Mac Spice lipliner to define the edges with a touch of Blistex Lipbalm, ramping up to Mac Lipglass in Pink Lemonade and finally using Rimmel’s In Love With Ginger for that final corally/orange pop. Very simple but super effective!
