For my birthday I received my first ever (gasp) Jo Malone product. Since coming to my attention via blogging, I’ve always coveted the brand and their beautiful packaging, having never really sniffed a scent.
I finally bit the bullet and went into Jo Malone’s stand-alone store in Guildford in an attempt to track down a scent I might like to ask for as a birthday gift and I decided upon Peony & Blush Suede, which I’ve since found out is very popular!
All Jo Malone cologne’s are unisex, although most swing more one way than the other (I ordered my Mum Grapefruit once and it turned out to be a very masculine scent!). Peony & Blush Suede is very feminine and instantly likeable. It’s very fresh and juciy and unlike anything I’ve smelt before although it has a lovely familiarity to it. It’s a very versatile scent, and could easily be worn in any season due to it’s classic floral tones. There aren’t any notes in it that are offensive or over the top – it’s very easy but very chic and I’m pleased I finally got my hands on it after sniffing the cardboard stick for the store for a week!
